Each year tens of thousands of foreign students come to Russia from all over the world as Scholarship holders.

WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP COVERS

A state scholarship includes: free education throughout the study period in the chosen field, a monthly allowance, and the improved knowledge of the Russian language through the preparatory faculty. In addition, scholarship holders get a monthly allowance which in 2016 was 1300 rubles. (Or $ 21).  

WHO CAN GET A SCHOLARSHIP

To apply for the scholarship, candidates must hold a secondary school leaving certificate and must successfully pass the Russian Federation scholarship examination in their country.

HOW IS THE EXAMINATION ORGANISED

The competition takes place in two stages which are :

· · The first step is a selection made in your country of origin. To participate, you must contact the Russian Embassy in your country or get in touch with the Center for Business Development and Cooperation with Russia to follow up on your Scholarship application.

· · The results of the scholarship examination are announced by the universities immediately after examining all the applications from different countries : this is the second step.

WHERE AND HOW IS THE FIRST STAGE OF THE EXAMINATION

The whole process of the first step takes place in the Russia Embassy in your country.

HOW TO KNOW THE RESULT OF THE COMPETITION

After submitting your scholarship application to the Center for Business Development and Cooperation with Russia, we will keep you informed as soon as information reaches us concerning the application.  

If you have not been selected, you need not be discouraged, you still have the opportunity to study on a self-funded basis. And for that, you will have to go to your personal profile on the study.russia-africa.com site and send your already registered form applying for paid education for review.

WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP GRANT DOES NOT COVER

The scholarship does not cover travel from home to university, daily expenses, health insurance and accommodation.
